Rahel Savoldelli / Anne Tismer
Theatre / Germany
Anne Tismer (the fascinating performer in Concert to order and Nora) and Rahel Savoldelli, actress and dancer wanted to write a play inspired by there situations of being both actress and woman, vaguely like a feminine waiting for Godot … except the two characters of this play are not waiting for anyone and only want to do good, intending to give to people that which they desire: those who want buns will have them, those who wish for a pullover, woollen socks or stewed apples will have them too. But the two ladies are not very serious, they’d rather brawl and are lazy, they don’t meet anybody and spend the whole day in front of their small wooden cabin singing songs, fighting, and hitting each other, remembering the good old days and the not so good old days, sometimes they just sit and watch the smoke slowly go up into the sky. It goes without saying that they forgot about all the good they wanted to do and they will never do what they said they would…Maybe this does not bring happiness to the most deprived of the world but to the spectators who delight in this mad comedy that succeeds in telling us about the deprived world of fairness and hope.
